Adele’s weight loss – due to hypnotherapy? A-list stars like Jennifer Aniston shed pounds

The Sun - 8 June 2020

UNTIL recently, Adele was as famous for killer curves as she was for her liquid eyeliner flick and heart-wrenching ballads.

But during her recent holiday in the Caribbean, the British songstress has been pictured looking slimmer than ever - and fans are eager to know how she has reportedly shifted three stone.

Adele looked noticeably slimmer on her recent holiday in the Carribean with Harry Styles and James Corden

Enter celebrity weight loss hypnotherapist, the professional Adele allegedly first sought help from in 2014 to kick her smoking habit.

The famed weight loss expert is reported to have helped everyone from Jennifer Aniston, Nigella Lawson and Lily Allen shift pounds over the years.

In an interview with The Telegraph, She refused to comment on whether Adele came to her for help - but she did stress that her hypnotherapy and psychotherapy treatments has helped clients lose a staggering amount of weight.

The hypnotherapist insists that her treatments are "not a diet" but rather a "change of mindset."

Describing how she uses hypnotherapy, the expert said: "I change my clients' mindset to boost their self-esteem. They just lose the emotional hole that makes them think of food the whole time."

According to the NHS, hypnotherapy works to treat conditions (such as sleep problems or anxiety) and break habits (i.e. smoking or binge-eating) by putting clients into a deeply relaxed state and challenging their behaviour.

Combining this with psychotherapy, Susan gets her celeb clients to figure out their "storyline" which repeatedly causes them to gain weight.

She added: "I go into your brain and find out what's making you eat all this food if you don't want to and I delete those defective files under hypnosis."

On top of this, she then gets her clients to imagine their perfect body - whether than be "tiny waist" or toned arms - on a daily basis to make it seem more achievable.

The hypnotherapist is also reported to have helped Lily Allen drop from a size 14 to size 8 in the late noughties.

Jennifer Aniston, 50, is another celeb who is thought to have turned to Susan for help maintaining her trim figure while Nigella Lawson, 60, is reported to have been a client after she slimmed down to a size 12 in 2017.

Insisting that her hypnosis treatment teaches celebs to consume "everything in moderation", Susan added: "Moderation means finding that stop button."

Speaking to Fabulous Digital in 2016, she revealed that her clients often see a dramatic shift in their figures from the first week.

"The effectiveness and results undoubtedly starts from day one, for sure. They usually lose two to four pounds in the first week," they explained.

"Most people who come and see me would like to lose one or two dress sizes.

"They will continue to lose two to three pounds in the second week, then after that they might lose three to four pounds between the second and third session.

"I’d say they should lose between six and eight pounds in those three sessions. It continues coming off and coming off, and that’s being very conservative, because some can lose almost nine pounds."

The hypnotherapist is constantly told hypnosis is a "miracle cure" by her patients, as many have gone to great lengths to lose weight in the past without results.

It works by adjusting people's mindsets so they no longer obsess about food. They feel able to stop when they're full, eat slower and make healthier choices.

But hypnotherapy isn't the only method Adele is reported to have used to shift pounds.

Yesterday The Sun exclusively revealed that Robbie Williams' wife Ayda inspired her to overhaul her lifestyle.

The former X Factor judge, 40, introduced Adele to pilates instructor Camila Goodis, 36, who laid on joint workouts for the pair at Robbie’s LA home.

But Camila has told how Adele, 31, hates exercise and believes her recent body transformation is down to “90 per cent dieting”.

She said: “I trained Ayda for a long time and it happens that they are good friends so I did Adele when she was there in Robbie’s house.

“I don’t believe she liked exercise much but she has changed her lifestyle and I believe that 90 per cent was dieting.”

Fitness trainer Camila trains a number of celebrities in LA and has been branded a "Brazilian body wizard" by journalist Celia Walden, who is married to GMB host Piers Morgan.

Camila said the Rolling In The Deep singer is not one of her current clients but believes the secret to her weight loss is giving up processed food, sugar and fizzy drinks.

It's previously been reported that Adele has been trying out The Sirtfood Diet, which encourages slimmers to eat plant foods such as kale and buckwheat.

These foods, known as sirtuin activators, suppress appetite and activate the body's "skinny gene".
